Update on Landing Fees

TAA cannot advise you to pay the landing fees or not.
The authority to bill landing fees is valid and failure to pay COULD result in action from the city of Torrance; which may include eviction of KTOA based aircraft.

On February 1, 2024, the City of Torrance began charging a landing fee, that landing fee is:
• Calculated at $3.00 per 1,000 pounds of aircraft max gross takeoff weight (rounded to the nearest thousand pounds), with a minimum charge of $6.00 per landing for all fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
• Exempting all Military, public safety, and medical operations.
• Exempting helicopters which land on private helipads (a private helipad must be authorized by the City of Torrance and operated/maintained by a leaseholder on their leasehold. Basically this exemption only applies to Robinson Helicopters.
