Runway 29 R was closed this morning for inspection of its runway lights. IT PASSED!! Taxiway lights are still in need of more work, but there are reflectors that replace those that are still inoperative and the lumicurve lights (those on the high-speed exits) are working.
I still wonder why this work was postponed for so long (it was advertised before January 2022 and awarded to Belcor last April). Who decided to postpone it?
Now, maybe, the work on the AWOS installation will accelerate.
Be sure to check your VECTOR bills. I got my first yesterday--40% errors. If you have to go around, they charge it as a landing.!!! Be sure to add a note with your payment that says: "THIS LANDING FEE IS PAID UNDER PROTEST. IT IS SUBJECT OF ACTIVE LITIGATION"
